Knights Affair has won twice on the level and ran well over staying trips, ending on a handicap mark of 79. He jumps well and this looks a nice place to to start him off. He will improve mentally and physically for this debut but it doesn't look the strongest race so I'm hoping he can go close if taking to hurdling.

I fancy Yellow Card strongly although he does have a difficult wide draw and will probably need to go forward from there. This trip is more suitable than the mile at Bath where he was so unlucky. Fingers crossed.

Tempted returns after her winter break. She might just need the run to get back into the swim and in any case, she needs to improve on what she's done as a 2yo.

I would prefer six furlongs rather than five for Monomyth, but he will be fine on the ground and has come forward a fair bit for the recent run at Bath. I've changed the headgear and Oisin rides. Good chance.

Muy Muy Loco was still green on last month's handicap debut and this big, rangy gelding seems to be learning with each start. This is a low-grade affair so no surprise to see him feature if he comes on again although he is likely to benefit from further than this in time.

Donnie Azoff returns after a good winter holiday. Early last season he impressed when bolting up on only his 2nd run in a handicap hurdle. He was thumped by the handicapper for that and struggled as a result, but we think the step up in trip can bring an improved run as he is fresh and well at home.

Vadream is a star and at age seven, her work is as good as it has ever been. She loves Newmarket and the ground is beautiful. The Haggas filly will be hard to beat but Vadream should be bang there and had a nice run at Bath recently.

El Cairos has already looked a potential star for David Maxwell. Impressive on bumper debut at Newbury in November he was the unlucky horse in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham and anything like a clear run here will make him the one to beat.

Lokma has had a couple of runs at six furlongs and hasn't yet put it all together. We're dropping to 5f as she didn't seem to get home last time and she might get into the first three here but the non-runner makes an each-way bet less appealing.

Ocean Odyssey left us for a while during which time he ran twice, bringing his career tally to 0 from 11. A measure of this race is that he's the 2nd favourite. Fingers crossed.
